Context: Elon Musk at the World Economic Forum in Davos, 22 Jan 2026 (official WEF transcript; same words in the C-SPAN captions; CNBC and the Austin American-Statesman quote "very, very widespread by the end of this year within the U.S."). No number of cities or share of the population was given; at the time Tesla ran robotaxi service in Austin and the Bay Area. The metro thresholds are ours (cf. tesla-robotaxi-8-10-metros-2025).

Our interpretation: correct if by 31 Dec 2026 Tesla runs a public, paid robotaxi (ride-hailing) service in at least 10 US metro areas; partly if in 5-9; wrong if in fewer than 5. Per Tesla's disclosures or reputable reporting.
