Context: Apple press release "Apple 智能即将登陆中国" ("Apple Intelligence is coming to China"), Apple Newsroom China, dated 31 Oct 2026 (Cupertino). The quote is Apple's original Chinese wording. Our translation: "This set of Apple Intelligence features will open for testing with the latest iOS developer beta from 4 November, and will launch for users in China with the official release of iOS 27.3 in December." The first features include Live Translation, Clean Up in Photos and Writing Tools, built on Apple's own models. In the same release Apple said it is working with Alibaba so that users in China can use Alibaba's Qwen directly in Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence, and that support on other platforms will follow once the necessary approvals are obtained. Supported devices are the iPhone 15 Pro and later, with Siri and device language set to English or Chinese (Simplified).
