Context: MiniMax's official X account (@MiniMax_AI) announcing MiniMax M3.1 Flash on 19 Oct 2026: "M3.1 Flash achieves frontier-level intelligence across key tasks … at 1/3 the cost of M3 and 3x the speed. … Model weights will arrive on Oct 23." The company blog post the same day says the model "is now available through the MiniMax API, M Plan, and MiniMax Code. Model weights will be released later." MiniMax also confirmed that the anonymous "Space Bunny" model was an earlier version of M3.1 Flash. On 20 Oct 2026 no M3.1 Flash repository was listed in MiniMax's Hugging Face organization (MiniMaxAI).
