Context: Aurora's Q3 2026 shareholder letter (28 Oct 2026); CFO David Maday read the same sentence on the earnings call. Aurora first set the target at its Analyst and Investor Day (23 Sep 2026); Transport Topics reported then that "Aurora expects to end 2027 with more than 1,000 trucks on the road", and TechCrunch that it expects "to go from 200 driverless trucks at the end of 2026 to more than 1,000 a year later". Bloomberg Law (29 Oct) reported the company is "on pace to meet its previously stated goal of 1,000 trucks on the road by the end of 2027". How we judge it

Our interpretation: kept if at the end of 2027 Aurora has more than 1,000 driverless trucks in operation (Aurora Driver trucks running with no one in the cab, including customer-owned trucks under Driver-as-a-Service), per Aurora's own reporting (Q4 2027 shareholder letter, release or filing) or credible reporting. Partly kept if it has between 500 and 1,000. Broken if fewer than 500.
