$3-4 trillion of annual AI infrastructure build "by the end of the decade"
“we believe NVIDIA will be the superior choice for the $3 trillion to $4 trillion in annual AI infrastructure build we estimate by the end of the decade.”
Context: CFO Colette Kress's prepared remarks on Nvidia's Q3 fiscal 2026 earnings call, 19 Nov 2025 (official IR transcript). This settles the wording of the Q2 call (27 Aug 2025: "We see $3 trillion to $4 trillion in AI infrastructure spend by the end of the decade", which did not say annual or cumulative): the estimate is annual. CNN Business (22 Nov 2025) reported it as "$3 trillion to $4 trillion in annual AI infrastructure spending by the end of the decade"; the Motley Fool (4 Oct 2026) reported Jensen Huang reaffirming "$3 trillion to $4 trillion annually by 2030".
How we judge it
Our interpretation: correct if worldwide AI infrastructure (AI data-center) capital spending reaches at least $3 trillion in calendar 2030 (a single year, not cumulative), per credible industry or analyst estimates or the major buyers' disclosures; wrong if clearly below $3 trillion.
