Aurora expects to pass 200 driverless trucks by the end of February 2027
“We anticipate exceeding the 200-truck milestone by the end of February.”
Context: Aurora's Q3 2026 shareholder letter (28 Oct 2026). CFO David Maday said the same on the earnings call ("We anticipate exceeding the 200 driverless truck milestone by the end of February"), after explaining that the production ramp was about six weeks behind plan because of material availability, component quality and end-of-line testing issues. Aurora had earlier aimed to end 2026 with 200 driverless trucks (TechCrunch, 28 Sep 2026); Bloomberg Law reported that Aurora "won't meet its goal of 200 trucks on the road until next February". How we judge it
Our interpretation: kept if by 28 Feb 2027 Aurora has more than 200 driverless trucks (Aurora Driver trucks operating with no one in the cab, in commercial or customer service) according to Aurora's own reporting (shareholder letter, release, call or filing) or credible reporting. Broken if the 200-truck milestone is not passed by 28 Feb 2027.
