HUMAIN to deploy 3 gigawatts of AI data-center capacity by 2030

“Through the deployment of 3 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2030, HUMAIN is rapidly scaling to meet growing regional and global demand for AI compute, with the aim of becoming one of the leading exporters of AI globally.”

HUMAINSaudi Arabian full-stack AI company (data centers, cloud, models); owned 51% by the Public Investment Fund and 49% by AramcoSaid · Source: spa.gov.sa

Context: Joint announcement by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Aramco, "PIF and Aramco Close HUMAIN Transaction to Accelerate HUMAIN's Global Growth", carried by the Saudi Press Agency (Dhahran, 1 Nov 2026) and on aramco.com. The release announced that Aramco, through a wholly owned subsidiary, has acquired 49% of HUMAIN, with PIF keeping 51%; Aramco contributes about SAR 9.9 billion ($2.6 billion) in cash in 2026 plus AI, compute and digital assets. HUMAIN, launched by PIF in May 2025, builds data centers, cloud infrastructure, AI models (including the Arabic model ALLaM) and AI applications. The quote is from the release's description of HUMAIN; the same release says the deal "will further enable HUMAIN's plans to develop data center capacity by 2030". This is a stated plan of the company and its owners, so it is filed as a promise by HUMAIN. How we judge it

Our interpretation: kept if by 31 Dec 2030 HUMAIN has at least 3 gigawatts (GW) of AI data-center capacity deployed, meaning built and in operation (not merely planned, contracted or under construction), in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere, counting facilities HUMAIN owns or operates, including joint-venture campuses it runs with partners, as shown by HUMAIN, PIF or Aramco statements or credible reporting. Partly kept if at least 1.5 GW but less than 3 GW is in operation by 31 Dec 2030. Broken if less than 1.5 GW is in operation by 31 Dec 2030. Where sources give IT load and total facility power separately, IT load is used; if only one figure is given, that figure is used.
